hey, it's us again.

we wanted to write a bit about why we're building cozy web, beyond the pitch on the homepage.

the internet got weird

remember when the internet felt like a place you could actually be? not scroll through, not consume, but inhabit?

we had forums with regulars. we had blogs we checked every morning. we had profile pages we agonized over. we had away messages that were tiny poems.

then everything became feeds. algorithmic feeds. infinite feeds. feeds that know exactly how to keep you scrolling at 2am when you should be sleeping.

we miss the old internet

not the aesthetics (okay, maybe a little). but the feeling:

so we're building it back

cozy web is our attempt to recreate that feeling. a tiny house you can decorate. letters that take time. friends you actually know.

no algorithm. no infinite scroll. no engagement optimization.

just a cozy little space on the internet that's yours.
